National Mental Health Resource Directory
National Mental Health Services Directory
Multiple national directories and databases exist to help people find mental health services and support but it is worth noting that major funding for most of these agencies have been severely cut/eliminated under the current Presidential administration. The Department of Government Efficiency has also eliminated several staff agencies so services have become severely impaired. PLEASE call and talk to one or more of these agencies and if they can’t help you they can assist you in locating services in your local area.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a primary resource, offering both an online locator and a national helpline. Other organizations, such as Psychology Today, Mental Health America (MHA), and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), also provide directories for finding therapists, treatment facilities, and support groups.
